At the ripe age of 10 Charity started out as a lead singer/dancer for the ever popular 80's saturday morning TV show Kids Incorporated. She then went on to do some fill-in work as a backup singer for Captain Kangaroo and Mister Rogers Neighborhood untill she caught them fudge packing in the back of X the Owl’s trailer. She was then asked to leave after given 1.5 million in hush money.
Impressed with her vocal prowess, directors of the successful talent show Star Search sought her out in the mid 80's. In fear of becoming too "MAINSTREAM" She told Ed McMahon to F#** off, and embarked upon a solo career. She then toured relentlessly with acts like Wham, Vanilla Ice, & Anthrax until the late 90's when she decided to take a break from the lime light, and moved back to Lafayette Indiana.
Her musical interests then matured into covering a vast array of musical genre's. Including Alternative, Rock, Hip-Hop, & even Death Metal. She then moved to Columbus, Ohio and met up with Chasing Time and is merely weeks from starting her first world tour called: "Mister Rogers dark secrets"
Kevin Meade
Guitar
Kevin started out playing guitar when he saw someone else playing and said to himself "That can't be THAT hard...." From there he started learning from the greats such as Eddie Van Halen, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, and Billy Gibbons in the 70s. Early on in the 80's Kevin found his passion - hair spray and tight cloths. He began on his mission to play with as many great Hair Bands as her could find. You might have seen him on tour back in the day with Motley Crue, Posion, and later playing side by side with Steve Via. You might recognize Kevin more by the picture to the right... He later settled down, got married, had some kids and found the passion of Rock and Roll again and was the founder of Chasing Time.
Lyn Shirk
Guitar
Vocals
Lyn's blues/rock style was strongly influenced by many blues guitarists. Foremost among them were Albert King, who dubbed himself Lyn's "godfather", Otis Rush, Buddy Guy, and Jimi Hendrix. Lyn preferred to make use of the immediate tonal capabilities of his guitar amplifiers, adding few effects. Later on Lyn gravitated to sounds of the great Stevie Ray Vaughn, using the same guitar and even dressing just like him (see photo to the right). He was even asked to stand in for SRV at a few shows when Stevie came down with the cat scratch fever. Lyn gathered quite the following after that. Being the extreme popcorn lover than Lyn is - he decided to settle down in the popcorn capital of the world....Marion Ohio. He married the very talented dancer - Carol - and had 2 great daughters which he is very proud of! Today you can come and hear the greatness of Lyn lickin out those leads with Chasing Time!
Clif May
Bass
Vocals
Graduating with honors from the Juilliard School of Music @ the ripe old age of 5 Clif began producing the likes of Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Yes, & Tower of Power among others. He taught Joe Walsh how to play guitar and gave bass lessons to both Stanley Clarke and Victor Wooten. Clif actually invented the electric bass and sold the idea to Les Paul for a mere $50.00. Les Paul returned the favor by naming the first Fender bass after Clif's playing style namely, the Fender "Precision" bass. Now a tenured professor of music @ Julliard Clif enjoys teaching the double bass & electric bass to his students when he's not touring or producing. Most recently Clif accepted a position as bassist with the rock n roll powerhouse known as Chasing Time. They are currently preparing for their upcoming world tour dubbed, " Chasing Time Around the World.
Peggy Yehl
Drums
Prodigy on the drums from a young age using wooden spoons and her mothers pots and pans...then on to her Micky Mouse snare drum. At age 8 was asked to attend Berklee's music school for percussion. After graduating with honors Peggy toured with many Jazz greats. The voice of Rock and Roll was always calling though so after a few years she was a backup for Rush when Neil Peart wasn't able to play. Then after coming out of the dark music closet she felt a calling to move to Marion Ohio where she met up with the legendary Kevin Meade and has been Chasing Time ever since...
